Local Electrical Distributor Honored With Two National Awards

Rockwell Automation recognized Electric Supply & Equipment Co. (ES&E) for their performance in a recent survey of several thousand customers in the US, Canada and Mexico.  ES&E no only ranked first in North America for customer satisfaction but also received the second highest marks for customer loyalty among all of Rockwell's North American distributors.  Rockwell Automation's Southeastern Channel Manager, Pete Lyons, adds "Since 1935 we have considered ES&E on of our premier distributors in NOrth America and our recent customer loyalty survey reinforces that.  Their commitment to customer service is unrivaled in the distribution industry.  Rockwell Automation is proud to have ES&E as our only authorized distributor in the Central Carolina region."

Electric Supply & Equipment Co. is a full line electrical distributor supporting more than 2000 active customers.  Based in Greensboro, the company has offices and warehouses in Raleigh and Rocky Mount.  ES&E also operates a subsidiary, Bluewater Supply, which provides paints, composites and electrical devices to the boat building industry in eastern North Carolina.  Since the 1980's ES&E has specialized in the industrial control and factory automation products.  Rockwell Automation is the company's largest line, but they also stock and support more than thirty other manufacturers' electrical and automation products.

According to Brad McCormick, President and C.E.O. of ES&E, "We have always believed that the best way to grow and prosper is to have our entire company focused on the simple idea of doing what is right for the customer.  So it's great to receive an award for customer service, but it's especially nice to receive another award that proves customer service matters."  McCormick adds, "We'll launch our e-commerce website later this fall bringing 1.4 million items to market, but most of the time customers just want to call a company, have a real person answer the phone or show up at their facility and find a solution to the customer's issue as if it was their own problem."

ES&E was founded in Greensboro 75 years ago in 1935 and has annual sales of $50 million.
